calla lillies galore!

mood:

finally got my quotation from my 3rd possible florist, and WOW! i think i got a really good deal, considering that it's all imported calla lillies of different colors. i am just SOOOO excited!

wednesday night, i met with my 3rd possible florist, who is an old family friend. he used to be Ella's (my bestfriend) carpenter, then he became their handy man, then he became their driver, then he became their do-it-all type of guy, until he pretty much became a permanent fixture in Ella's household. part of the family, so to speak. now, he and his wife, tita cecile, are very much into the flower business. talk about working your way to the top!

anyway, during our discussion, i was already getting so excited cause when i explained to them that i wanted my flowers to be all calla lillies, things just started rolling until we all had an image of what my wedding will be like. i initially was also just going to get the floral package included in the palms, but they will only be using mums and roses, so tita cecile suggested that we also use callas.

here are the inclusions in the package she gave me:
     bridal bouquet
bouquets for the entire female entou
     boutonnieres for the men
     throw away bouquet
     basket of flowers for offertory
     1 big entrance flower arrangement
4 pillars with fabric drapes and tivoli lights with floral
       backdrop for bride & groom
     25 centerpieces for guests tables
flower arrangement for bride & groom's table
flowers for the cake and cake table decoration
     flower arrangement for bridal car

here's what we came up with:

bridal bouquet:

(of course, i have to be unique, so it's peonies for me! loooove it!!!)

moh bouquet:

bridesmaids bouquets:

secondary sponsors' bouquets:

principal sponsors' & mothers' bouquets:

reception centerpiece:

it's soooo beautiful, isn't it? i'm so giddy with excitement!!!

why The Schmucks?

- We've decided to revolutionize the term. It's now a term of endearment. Before Roland & Tin became "Roland & Tin," we were very good friends with a dysfunctional sense of humor. I called him a schmuck, he called me a schmuck. Thus, The Schmucks were born. Now we're on our way to becoming Mr. & Mrs. Schmuck. Ain't life grand? -
